Recently, the wind power frequency modulation system developed by NR has completed the commissioning and performance verification test in CGN Daishan 516MW offshore wind farm. The test results show that the primary frequency modulation performance of the system is excellent.

The successful application indicates that NR frequency modulation technology has taken another step forward.

In order to solve the above problems, based on the research results accumulated for many years, NR took the lead in putting forward the dual machine redundancy mode of primary frequency modulation of renewable energy, supplemented by dual power supply, multi-measurement and other means, fully considering the timing cooperation of various communication links, ensuring the rapid switching of main and standby machines under various working conditions, and fully meeting the high reliability requirements of offshore wind power frequency modulation.

At the same time, NR actively coordinated and promoted the optimization and upgrading of control network architecture, improved control algorithms, reduced the primary frequency modulation time to 15%, greatly improved the active regulation capability of offshore wind farms, alleviated the problem of frequency stability caused by the expansion of renewable energy installation scale, and ensured the safe and reliable operation of latest power systems.

In order to solve the problems caused by the continuous expansion of the installed scale of renewable energy to the frequency stability of the power grid and contribute to the successful realization of the carbon neutral goal.
