Following the success of their joint demonstration at Automatica earlier this year, ALVA Industries (ALVA) and Neugart GmbH (Neugart) are once again joining forces, this time at SPS 2025, to exhibit their high-performance, fully integrated AGV drive units.
The collaboration highlights the seamless pairing of Neugart’s NGV drive series with Alva’s SlimTorq frameless motors, creating a complete drive solution for mobile platforms and robotics.
Visitors to SPS can explore two fully functional drive units at both companies’ booths:
- NGV064 drive unit with 160 mm wheel
- NGV100 drive unit with 250 mm wheel
Alva’s SlimTorq motors
Alva’s SlimTorq motors are manufactured using its proprietary FiberPrinting process, a patented winding technology that achieves exceptionally high copper fill factors and zero cogging behavior. This allows for superior torque performance and thermal efficiency in a compact form factor.
Neugart’s NGV series integrates gearbox, motor flange, and wheel hub into a single, compact module - minimizing system footprint while maximizing load capacity and durability.
