Canyon State Electric (CSE) raised over 130 Lego sets for children in foster care through its annual holiday Lego Drive in November and December. The toys were donated to Arizona Helping Hands during their Fill Santa’s Sleigh event.
Through a series of donations by CSE employees, partners, vendors, and the outlying community, the company broke its fundraising goal of one hundred Lego sets and over doubled last year’s Lego Drive collection.
“I’m incredibly grateful for the generosity of our internal team and surrounding community,” said CEO Stephanie Maderazzo-Hughes. “Because of them, kids throughout the valley will have something special to open this Holiday season.”
Lego Drive
The Lego Drive began in 2021 after the passing of Canyon State Electric founder Steve Maderazzo. He famously loved building with Lego, creating many structures, including a replica of the CSE office building. The Canyon State Electric team honors his legacy with generosity, donating Lego sets to children in need of toys each December.
With over 12,000 children in foster care in Arizona, the collected Lego sets will create cherished memories for families throughout the Phoenix valley this holiday season.
“They are stepping up to make sure that every foster child in our state is going to thrive always,” said Bethany Eggleston of Arizona Helping Hands. While Canyon State Electric’s Lego Drive has concluded, Arizona Helping Hands is still collecting toys throughout the holiday season.
