Engr. Md Mahbubur Rahman, the Chairman of Bangladesh Power Development Board (BPDB), visited the 800MW combined cycle power plant built by Shanghai Electric in Rupsha and communicated with the project team on the progress and virus containment, after hearing a detailed introduction from the team.
He asked detailed questions on project progress, equipment procurement, delivery schedule, and how Chinese employees lived and worked, and required that both the property owner and the project team proceed with plant construction and carry out pandemic control measures at the same time.
After being told that it was the 5th project undertaken by Shanghai Electric in Bangladesh, he said that Shanghai Electric is an old friend of BPDB, and will build the project in Rupsha into another success.
