The development plan features the installation of a floating production, storage, and offloading (FPSO) vessel in offshore Brazil. This FPSO will have oil and gas processing capacities of 225,000 barrels per day and 12MMcm/d, respectively.
SBM Offshore has been awarded for the lease and operation contract in July/2021. The platform will be deployed approximately 180 kilometers offshore in Rio de Janeiro and the delivery of the FPSO is expected in the second half of 2024.
Variable frequency drives
WEG was selected to supply the main topsides turbo generators, around 40 medium voltage motors with rated outputs as large as 12.565 kW, medium voltage variable frequency drives (VFDs), more than a 100 low voltage motors as well as low voltage VFDs. The purchase orders came from multiple package vendors located worldwide but mainly in Italy, USA and Brazil.
