Astemo & GlobalLogic: Future Of Mobility & Digital Transformation

Hitachi Astemo, Ltd. (hereafter “Astemo”) and GlobalLogic Inc. (hereafter “GlobalLogic”) have been strengthening their collaboration to lead the trends of software-defined vehicles. Astemo President & CEO, Kohei Takeuchi and GlobalLogic CEO, Nitesh Banga discussed the future of mobility through digital transformation. As a global mega-supplier, Astemo has been providing tangible value in the In-Car domain as internal vehicle technology, such as software that enables advanced vehicle functions, including autonomous driving. GlobalLogic Completes Fortech Merger In Romania

As a result of this merger, Fortech, a GlobalLogic company, will operate in Romania as GlobalLogic, and the brand integration will be completed in the following period. Seamless brand integration The Delivery organization in Romania will be formalized further under a Group Delivery Unit structure With the formal establishment of GlobalLogic Romania SRL, they embark on a journey of seamless brand integration, marking the beginning of a new era for their combined entities. Following a period of strategic realignment and merging departments, roles, and reporting structures, in connection with the closing of the transaction, the Delivery organization in Romania will be formalized further under a Group Delivery Unit structure led by Călin Văduva, former CEO of Fortech, a GlobalLogic company, in the capacity of the Group Delivery Unit (GDU) Head in GlobalLogic.  This formation will be the 4th Group Delivery Unit in the EMEA Region, and it’s expected to broaden organization development, setting the proper stage for Romania to become an important growth vector for GlobalLogic in the EMEA Region. The new entity will operate efficiently, effectively, and in alignment with GlobalLogic’s strategic goals and objectives under a new legal name: GlobalLogic Romania SRL. Important growth vector On November 21st, 2022, GlobalLogic Inc., a Hitachi Group Company and Digital Engineering Leader, announced that it had signed a definitive agreement to acquire Fortech. On February 7th, 2023, GlobalLogic announced that it had completed the acquisition of Fortech. On January 1st, 2024, the legal merger of Fortech was completed. Starting February 1st, 2024, Fortech, a GlobalLogic company, will fully switch to the GlobalLogic brand and will operate in Romania as GlobalLogic.
