The two contracts together demonstrate Electric Miles’ extensive offering – delivering 8 MW of flexibility across South East England, the East of England, London the Midlands, South Wales and the South West – as its unique software and app combination reduces the cost and environmental impact of EV charging.
With sales of electric vehicles set to soar as the government sets minimum levels of 40% of EV’s within corporate fleets by 2024, distribution companies are seeking solutions to reduce the potential impact of mass charging requirements on the UK’s energy infrastructure, thus avoiding millions of pounds of upgrade costs.

Electric Miles have developed their AI-based SaaS model to offer solutions for both the consumer and B2B fleet market – optimizing charging based on the amount of renewables on the Grid, availability of the market, and overall energy demand.
By balancing all of these measures, Electric Miles could deliver savings of up to 40% on each charge and reduce the impact of mass EV charging on the Grid – identified as one of the key problems facing distribution system operators and the National Grid over the coming years.
