When it comes to marketplace ethics, it appears no one can touch industrial electrical contractor Hill Electric.

The Better Business Bureau of the Upstate, a private non-profit organization serving the 10-county Upstate area, honored Hill Electric with a 2019 Business of Integrity Award for Marketplace Ethics in the 50-199 employee category earlier this month.

Value-Based Leadership

Founded in 1954, Hill Electric was honored for several key reasons starting with Mike Davis, the company’s president, and the Hill Electric team establishing Value Based Leadership to guide the business during the past several years.

The company was established with roots in the textile era. They are diversified today in serving paper, healthcare, chemical, textile, automotive, pharmaceutical cutting tools, plastic and thermoforming, and food and beverage industries. “We provide trusted installations to protect our client's most valuable assets,” Davis said. “That is our main goal and priority.”

Business of Integrity Awards

Nominees are put through an interview and referral application process evaluating commitment

The Business of Integrity Awards recognizes outstanding businesses for their commitment to exceptional marketplace standards that benefit their employees, consumers, suppliers, industry peers, and the communities in which they do business and serve.

Nominations are submitted by customers or the companies themselves. Rather than being decided by popularity, nominees are put through an interview and referral application process evaluating the company’s demonstrated commitment to business practices that build trust with employees, customers, and vendors in the marketplace.

Employee safety

As a local recipient of the 2019 Business of Integrity Award, Hill Electric Company is eligible to enter the Council of Better Business Bureau, Inc.’s 2019 National Torch Award.

We are deeply honored to receive this award,” Davis said. “It highlights what we focus on, which is our commitment to our employees, safety, and providing exceptional work to our clients and partners.”
