UFD, the Naturgy Group’s electricity distributor, now has more than 50,000 self-consumption facilities connected to its electricity grid in Spain. This milestone illustrates the company’s commitment to the energy transition and its determination to make it easier for its customers to manage their energy supplies.
The company connected more than 13,000 new self-consumption facilities to its infrastructure over the course of 2024, representing a 35% increase. These points were located in Castilla-La Mancha (4,968), Galicia (3,410), the Community of Madrid (3,272), and Castilla y León (1,366).

In 2024, the average time required to activate a self-consumption facility that meets all the requirements is approximately 3.2 days from when the supply company receives the application, which is below the 5-day limit established in regulations.
The number of collective self-consumption facilities has also grown significantly in the last year, tripling compared to 2023 figures.
