Whether it’s a payment plan, a payment extension, or average monthly payments, SWEPCO is committed to supporting its customers during the winter months. Eligible customers in Louisiana can apply for assistance to pay their winter heating bills through the federally funded Low Income Home Energy Assistance Program (LIHEAP).
Applications for winter heating assistance will be accepted from November 15 to March 15, or until funds are depleted.

Facing challenges with heating bills
“LIHEAP is an essential resource for our customers during the colder months,” said Brett Mattison, SWEPCO President, adding “We encourage anyone who may be facing challenges with their heating bills to explore this program and other resources we offer to help manage seasonal expenses.”
