On 4th October 2020, the Mymensingh 50MW solar PV project, Bangladesh's largest solar PV plant, developed by HDFC Sinpower Ltd., successfully received COD（Commercial Operation Date） confirmation from the Bangladesh Power Development Board.
NR Electric, as a solution provider, provided the complete protection and control equipment, solar SCADA, and Power Plant Control (PPC) system for this project.
PPC control scheme
With the advanced PPC control scheme, NR helps the plant meet the Bangladesh Grid code and NLDC control requirements. NR has also supplied protection and SCADA systems to another two ground PV stations located at Tetulia and Sirajganj.
Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the project execution team faces big challenges in commissioning the plant on time. To overcome the difficulties, the NR service team provided online support with joint efforts from EPC Company, and the plant commissioning was ensured.
