Kirloskar Electric has again been awarded a notable order from NTPC-Ramagundam Super Thermal Power Station. This order involves supplying a substantial High Voltage AC Motor that mirrors the specifications of a previously installed European model. The new motor is characterized as a 3200 KW 6.6 KV Air to air-to-water cooled high-voltage motor and plays a crucial role in operating the Boiler feed pump for stage 1.
Order Details and Past Engagements
In a similar engagement, back in November 2012, Kirloskar Electric delivered a 1200 KW -8 Pole High Voltage AC Motor. This motor was specifically designed with energy-saving high-efficiency features and was identical to another European-made motor used to operate an ID Fan. This pattern of matching existing European models indicates a strategy of ensuring compatibility and reliability in critical operations at NTPC-Ramagundam.
Significance of the New Equipment
The newly acquired motor is expected to enhance operational efficiency at NTPC-Ramagundam. By utilizing a high-voltage configuration that emphasizes advanced cooling technology, the motor supports crucial functions within the power station's infrastructure. This order reflects a continued trust in Kirloskar Electric's capability to provide high-quality, compatible, and efficient motor solutions tailored to specific operational needs.
