Shanghai Electric Power Generation Equipment Co., Ltd. Generator Plant (referred to as "Generator Plant") saw its 350MW generator rotor coming out from the bore of the stator on the assembly platform.
The generator has passed the type test under the supervision by the Serbian Ministry of Electricity. The rotors and stators are being packed for shipment. This means Shanghai Electric had its first generator exported to European power plants.
350MW power plant
The 350MW power plant, the largest thermal power project in Serbia over the past 30 years, is contracted by China Machinery and Engineering Corporation (CMEC), with its generators, motors, and auxiliary machines provided by Shanghai Electric.
The project represents a springboard for Shanghai Electric to find inroads into European countries and other countries along the Belt and Road.

The project schedule has been changed several times due to the COVID-19 epidemic. By the end of August, the generator unit was accepted by Serbia with satisfactory performance indicators.
Shanghai Electric's products have been well-received for its performance in many aspects.
Power generation units
The power generation units are scheduled for delivery in April 2021. The generators have been completed, while the turbines and auxiliaries are being manufactured as planned.
