The China Electricity Council has recently announced the energy efficiency benchmarking results of thermal power units in the power industry in 2020.
Shanghai Electric's electromechanical equipment is used in all of the units on the AAAAA-level list in the ultra-supercritical 1000 MW wet-cooling category for the third year in a row. And Shanghai Electric has supplied electromechanical furnaces to 61.6% of all the units listed.

Among the 5 winnings ultra-supercritical 1000 MW units of AAAAA level, the two double-reheat units of Guodian Taizhou, both supplied by Shanghai Electric Power Generation Group with complete sets of main equipment, remain on the list in 2020.

In the ultra-supercritical 600MW wet-cooling category, Shanghai Electric has supplied the main equipment of electromechanical furnaces to 41.3% of the units listed, of which 58.3% are rated AAAAA.
Shanghai Electric has supplied main equipment of electromechanical furnaces to 77.8% and 58.3% of the rated AAAAA-level ultra-supercritical wet-cooling units of 1000 MW and 660 MW, respectively, during the last three years, displaying an absolute leadership position.
