The situation involved crews assembling scaffolding-type equipment within a furnace that was offline for routine maintenance repairs.

During this process, a portion of the scaffolding became jammed, necessitating the use of additional equipment to safely resolve the issue. The crews were not in danger, they followed all safety protocols, and there were no injuries.
Out of an abundance of caution, SWEPCO proactively contacted the Shreveport Fire Department, and they appreciate their willingness to be on standby to provide assistance if needed. They value their collaboration and support.
