SWEPCO has revised its power restoration estimates to address complex repair needs and potential weather interferences.
Currently, it is anticipated that 95 percent of customers in the Monte Ne area and those located west of U.S. Hwy 71 B in Rogers, who are able to receive power, will have their electricity restored by 10 p.m. on Sunday, June 2, weather permitting. The remaining customers eligible to receive power are expected to have electricity restored by 10 p.m. on Friday, May 31.
Weather and Repair Influence Restoration Timelines
In certain situations involving extensive repairs or adverse weather conditions, restoration efforts may face delays. SWEPCO advises customers to remain vigilant regarding weather forecasts, as storms are expected to affect the company's three-state service area during the week.
Customer Preparations for Power Restoration
Customers are encouraged to verify whether their homes are ready to receive power. SWEPCO cannot reconnect electricity to properties with damage to the service entrance, which is the property of the customer. It is necessary for customers to hire a licensed electrician to address any such damage before power restoration can occur.
