Electrical contractor Canyon State Electric (CSE), based in Phoenix, has been recognized as one of Fast Company’s Best Workplaces for Innovators in 2023. This recognition places CSE among a select group of 100 pioneering firms worldwide, spanning 20 different industries.
The Fast Company list highlights businesses and organizations that excel in empowering their employees to enhance processes, develop new products, or create innovative business strategies.

CSE has been at the forefront of innovation with its utilization of virtual design and construction (VDC) and prefabrication techniques, offering enhanced electrical and low-voltage systems.
"We utilize advanced VDC technology to optimize project planning, improve efficiency, and deliver top-tier results to our electrical and special systems clients," explained Chris Reyes, VP of Operations. Notably, CSE is the sole electrical contractor in the nation authorized as a distributor for Honeywell’s NOTIFIER product line.
Implementing New Programs
Canyon State Electric has also made significant strides in safety, launching programs such as the Good Catch Program and the 4×5 Suicide Prevention Program. "Investing in safety is the best way we can support our electricians and their families," stated Hughes.
