Delta has marked its enduring commitment to climate initiatives by attending the 30th UN Climate Change Conference (UNFCCC COP30) in Belém, Brazil, for the 18th consecutive time.
In response to the conference's focus on "Climate Adaptation," Delta plans to host two significant events in the Blue Zone on November 17 and 19.
These events aim to highlight coral restoration and green building initiatives, driven by their "AI for Green" strategies, underscoring Delta’s role in advancing nature-based solutions through technological innovation.
Collaborative Efforts for Sustainable Oceans
Delta participated in a side event alongside global entities such as BNP Paribas, the Plymouth Marine Laboratory, the Partnership for Observation of the Global Oceans, and the International Coral Reef Society.
The discussion revolved around sustainable ocean development amid increasing climate change challenges. Shan Shan Guo, Vice Chairperson of the Delta Electronics Foundation, expressed pride in receiving the First Corporate Ocean Sustainability Contribution Award, and emphasized, “Delta has long been committed to addressing climate challenges through technological innovation."

Delta plans to use "AI for Green" to expedite coral identification and biodiversity data collection
This year, Delta joined the Coalition for Sustainable AI and collaborated with Economist Impact to publish the report, "Greening Intelligence: Charting the Future of Sustainable AI.”
This report promotes the Green AI concept, which aims to enhance computing energy efficiency and reduce carbon emissions.
At COP30, Delta plans to use "AI for Green" to expedite coral identification and biodiversity data collection, alongside the LEED AI Teaching Assistant, which facilitates the understanding of carbon reduction metrics in green building education, especially significant in the Chinese-speaking regions.
Focus on Coral Restoration
Wim Chang, CEO of the Delta Electronics Foundation, announced that Delta would host a side event at the climate summit. The event, themed “How to be SMART in meeting ocean-climate-societal challenges in a changing landscape,” will address the obstacles facing ocean and coastal communities during climate change.
Chang highlighted Delta's use of innovative technologies and AI in coral restoration and marine conservation research.
Promoting Sustainable Building Practices
Delta plans to showcase its LEED AI Teaching Assistant at the “Building and Cooling Pavilion,” organized by the Global Alliance for Buildings and Construction and the Cool Coalition under the United Nations Environment Program.
By working with partners like the U.S. Green Building Council and the International Code Council, Delta aims to promote sustainable building practices, targeting near-zero emissions and resilient buildings by 2030.

Responding to one of COP30's themes, "Climate Adaptation," Delta will collaborate with international organizations to host two events in the official negotiation zone (Blue Zone) on November 17 and 19, sharing coral restoration and green building promotion empowered by “AI for Green” approaches, showcasing Delta's commitment to implementing nature-based solutions through technological innovation.
Delta joined representatives from globally renowned organizations including BNP Paribas, the Plymouth Marine Laboratory, the Partnership for Observation of the Global Oceans, and the International Coral Reef Society in a side event. Together, they will explore how to achieve sustainable ocean development amid climate change.

Collaborating with partners including the U.S. Green Building Council and International Code Council, Delta will unveil its newly launched LEED AI Teaching Assistant for educational training and to support the implementation of sustainable building practices. This initiative is dedicated to realizing the new normal of near-zero emissions and resilient buildings by 2030.
