GlobalLogic Inc., a Hitachi Group company and Digital Engineering major firm, has announced it has been recognized for its business resilience by Forbes Magazine. The media outlet published a list of 30 cross-industry Ukrainian companies that were rated as most resilient to the challenges of a full-scale war.
IT industry companies, including GlobalLogic, proved to be the most resilient according to the ranking. The company credits its Business Continuity Plan and deep commitment to its team for successfully developing its business in Ukraine throughout the past year.
GlobalLogic Recognized for Business Resilience
The Forbes editors evaluated the companies using several criteria, including: the number of engineering specialists and open positions; the current state of the company compared to last year; revenue stability; future plans; etc. As of October, the productivity of the GlobalLogic Ukraine team has recovered to 97% of its pre-war level.
GlobalLogic was recognized as one of the top three best IT employers in Ukraine
Since the beginning of the war, GlobalLogic became the only one of the three largest Ukrainian IT companies to grow its employee base. Currently, it has 300 open positions and plans to grow by an additional 1000 professionals in the country.
Notably, GlobalLogic was recognized as one of the top three best IT employers in Ukraine according to students and received the HR brand Ukraine 2022 award.
People are the main business priority in difficult times
GlobalLogic implemented its Business Continuity Plan early, making it possible to stabilize the business and continue its growth. As part of this plan, the company committed heavily to two priorities: the safety and well-being of its team members, as well as the fulfillment of customer program obligations.
GlobalLogic oversaw the evacuation of engineers and their families from the most dangerous regions and relocated them to the western part of Ukraine, while simultaneously securing their positions on customer projects. The company also ensured that comprehensive mental health and physical well-being resources were available to all individuals in need.

Technical support key to business continuity
Business continuity was made possible due to the uninterrupted access to electricity and the Internet. GlobalLogic proactively equipped offices with shelters; diesel generators and fuel; and several alternative Internet access methods that bypassed Russian Federation territories and Belarus.
In general, the IT industry became the only market in Ukraine that, despite the war, demonstrated 27% growth compared to last year. Notably, IT services amounted to nearly half (48%) of all exported services in Ukraine this year, having increased 16% since 2021. Based on this trajectory, it is likely that the IT industry will continue to be one of the key contributors to the Ukrainian economy.
