Mitsubishi Electric Corporation announced that it signed a memorandum of understanding (MOU) to explore joint business in selected defense and space fields with Bengaluru-based Bharat Electronics Limited, a renowned manufacturer of defense electronics and public systems under the Indian Ministry of Defense, and Bengaluru-based MEMCO Associates (India) Private Limited, a marketing and contract representative of Mitsubishi Electric in India.
The MOU envisages identifying opportunities for the manufacture and supply of customized components for defense and space products, such as modules for shipborne and airborne radars, electronic warfare systems, and space situational awareness systems.

Under the terms of the MOU, the companies will strive to optimize the collaboration structure and business model for establishing a cooperative relationship.
