In the early morning of January 11, 2019, Shanghaimiao-Linyi, Shandong ± 800kV / 6250A UHVDC power transmission project has successfully completed a 168-hour test run and officially put in operation.
This project completed all system test projects on January 3, 2019, and began trial operation in the early morning of January 4. During the trial operation, the core equipment, such as the converter valve, DC control & protection system and measuring device provided by NR were in good and stable condition.

The ±800kV Shanghaimiao – Shandong UHVDC transmission project is one of the world’s maximum capacity project, which delivers power up to 10,000MW, the rated DC voltage is ±800kV and rated DC current is 6250A.
This project makes great contributions to local economy development, eco-friendly and the demands of blooming power load.
