Southwestern Electric Power Company (SWEPCO) has announced Sara Vestfals as the new Plant Manager for their facilities at Arsenal Hill and J. Lamar Stall in Shreveport, Louisiana, as well as Lieberman in Mooringsport, Louisiana. Vestfals will be responsible for managing the operational, financial, and safety aspects of these locations. Her appointment takes effect on May 27, 2024, and she will report to Monte McMahon, Vice President of Generating Assets.

Previous Experience of Sara Vestfals
Vestfals has previously served as Plant Manager for Flint Creek and Mattison Power Plants in Northwest Arkansas. She began her career with American Electric Power (AEP) in 2005 as a Plant Systems Owner at John W. Turk, Jr. Power Plant near Carson, Texas, and has since ascended through various leadership roles, including positions at Wilkes and Lone Star Power Plants in East Texas.

Vestfals is a graduate of LeTourneau University with a bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering. She also holds a master's degree in engineering management from Arkansas State University and is a registered professional engineer in Texas.
