Canyon State Electric (CSE) named Robert Hughes as President on Tuesday, August 23. Hughes boasts over 15 years in the construction industry and eight years with CSE. He joined Canyon State Electric in 2014 as a Project Manager and has served as Director of Construction and Vice President of Operations.

In his new role, Robert Hughes will oversee Canyon State Electric’s financial, human resources, and marketing departments in addition to his previous responsibilities. Construction operations and strategic planning will continue to report to Hughes.

Under Hughes’ leadership as Vice President of Operations, Canyon State Electric has built a new revenue pipeline through the VDC/BIM department; expanded the University of Canyon State Electric, the company’s safety, and training program; formed a partnership with the Arizona Department of Occupational Safety and Health (ADOSH); and was named one of Inc.’s 5000 fastest growing companies.

The right direction

It’s very clear that Robert has taken Canyon State Electric in the right direction,” said Canyon State Electric’s CEO, Stephanie Maderazzo-Hughes, adding “He has built trust with our clients, and our employees have confidence in his leadership. I know he will continue to excel in his new role and push us to achieve beyond our goals.”

In his first year as President, Hughes plans to evaluate the effectiveness of team members in their positions and chart paths for employee and company-wide growth. He will assume his new role effective immediately.
