On June 21, 2020, the ‘Botswana MAWANA-Maun-Dukwe’ substation project, which was supplied by NR Electric, guaranteed that the 132kV line protection system of Maun station was successfully commissioned on time.
The owner and the consulting company fully affirmed the progress, which laid a good foundation for the follow-up implementation of the whole project.

The MAWANA-Maun-Dukwe project is located in Maun City, which is an important livelihood project connecting the East and northwest power grids in Botswana.

The MAWANA-Maun-Dukwe project is NR Electric’s first 400kV substation project application in Botswana. It adopts the PCS series protection & control products, which improves the reliability of long-distance high voltage transmission line and further ensures the safe & stable operation of the power grid.
From the feasibility study, design and implementation of the project, NR Electric provided overall solutions for the power company and the main contractor. In the project implementation stage, NR faces the negative impact of the COVID-19 epidemic situation.
